HITC Sport understands that the former Potters boss is mulling over his options as Saido Berahino exit talk continues at The Hawthorns.
West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis is lining up a double swoop on former club Stoke City, with both Peter Crouch and Jon Walters in his sights, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Pulis is still expecting a battle to keep Saido Berahino, with the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle United poised to launch bids for the England international - as reported by the Express and Star.
And Pulis already has plans in place to approach his ex-employers in an effort to try and land Crouch and Walters, although he is not expecting to sign both.
31-year-old Walters has just one year left on his current contract at the Britannia Stadium, and talks have not gone well in recent months.
West Brom are now ready to make a firm move for Walters, although it remains to be seen whether Mark Hughes will be open to him leaving - despite the recent arrivals of the likes of Joselu and Ibrahim Afellay.
Whilst bidding for Walters, HITC Sport understands that Pulis will also ask about Crouch - as he would like to link-up with the former England striker again.
Crouch only signed a new two-year deal in January, but the 34-year-old may be struggling for first-team football at Stoke - so he might be tempted by a switch to The Hawthorns.
