After that narrow escape joint-chairman David Gold confirmed on Twitter that West Ham would be playing their strongest available side for the next game, so expect some stars to be on show on Thursday.
With defenders James Tomkins and Winston Reid unavailable due to suspension and injury respectively, summer signing Angelo Ogbonna should start. Pedro Obiang is also unavailable as he steps up his return from a minor injury but Dimitri Payet should start having featured for only 30 minutes against Norwich City on Tuesday.
