The former Anderlecht star took to the Darsley Park pitches to show just why the Magpies had spent £13 million on him.
Newcastle United's summer signing Aleksandar Mitrovic has been pictured taking part in his first training sessions with the club on Tuesday, finally pulling on the Magpies colours and joining his new teammates on the training pitch at Darsley Park.
Wearing the number 45, although it is unlikely the Serbian striker will choose this number officially for the new season, Mitrovic was pictured getting to know the rest of the Newcastle squad and also undergoing some shooting practice ahead of possibly making his debut in either Wednesday's game away to York or Saturday's home match against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Mitrovic was prolific in his final season in Belgium with Anderlecht, scoring 28 goals in 51 matches, including 20 in the league alone to finish top of the country's scoring charts.
It was enough to convince Steve McClaren to spend what BBC Sport reported to be £13 million on the 20-year-old, and the Toon Army can now hope to see the powerful frontman replicate that form at St James's Park in the near future.
