The 18-year-old midfielder is a hot prospect currently signed to Internaciional Porto Alegre.
Liverpool have already had a very busy summer. They have snapped up the likes of James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Roberto Firmino, Joe Gomez, Nathaniel Clyne and, most recently, Christian Benteke.
But it looks as though they have not stopped there.
It seems they are set to add to their Brazilian contingent of Lucas Leiva, Philippe Coutinho and Firmino with the signature of Allan Rodriguez de Souza of Brazilian side Internacional.
At the start of the month The Guardian reported that Liverpool were on the cusp of signing the player, with talks at an advanced stage.
They claimed the 18-year-old midfielder impressed at the Frenz International cup in Indonesia in which both teams featured and that Liverpool were ready to spend £500,000 for the privilege.
It seems like that deal is certainly being pressed ahead.
The teenager was in fact snapped in first-team training with Liverpool yesterday, as a deal continues to be discussed.
He stuck with his compatriots Firmino and Coutinho for most of the session, easing his way into English training.
But the fact Brendan Rodgers has training with the first-team is a massive caveat for the player.
Expect this deal to be done soon as Liverpool continue their spending spree this summer.
