Oliver Burke reacts on Twitter to Forest deal, Danny Fox sends message

The 18-year-old winger has signed a new contract with Nottingham Forest.

Oliver Burke says he is 'over the moon' after signing a new long-term deal with Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

The 18-year-old burst onto the scene last season and has established himself as one of Forest's most promising youngsters.

And Burke has received due reward for his potential, to which he reacted with delight on Twitter:

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest defender Danny Fox sent Burke a message of congratulations on social media after the news broke.

Fox memorably dyed his beard blonde last term for charity and was pleased to see the youngster commit himself to the City Ground outfit for the foreseeable future.

Nottingham Forest academy coach Gary Brazil was also enthused by Burke's new deal, singling the 'fantastic' youngster out for praise, according to the club's official website.

As per the coach, the Championship outfit are very excited about both the teenager's progress and promise and believes he can be a threat to any team at any level.

Brazil told Forest Player: "Oliver has made fantastic progress in the last year, developing a lot physically and improving his understanding of what he needs to do to make the most of his attributes.

"He’s a real threat to any team at any level. We’re really excited about Oliver and I’m pleased we’ve got him on a longer term contract."

Elsewhere, Forest boss Dougie Freedman remained firm in the face of transfer speculation yesterday surrounding captain Henri Lansbury and Michail Antonio, a player he deems the 'best in the Championship.'
