Aston Villa talent Jack Grealish to return from hamstring injury for under-21's this evening

The attacking midfielder has been struggling with injury this summer.

Aston Villa’s breakout performer of last season Jack Grealish has given some Villa fans a worry recently, after picking up a hamstring injury during the club’s tour in Portugal.

The problem seemed to be a significant issue, after Grealish missed the friendly with Walsall, and fans were rightly concerned with the new season coming up fast.

However it is now looking like Grealish will be back in action this evening, when Aston Villa’s under-21 side take on Tamworth this evening.

Tamworth, who play in the National League North, have confirmed that Grealish will feature for 45 minutes at the Lamb Stadium this evening as he steps up his recovery from the problem. They made the announcement through their Twitter account.

What is likely is that Grealish has been included in the squad for the game and Tamworth decided to seek confirmation from the Premier League side about the nature of his presence. They will be hoping his involvement will increase the gate receipts at the game this evening.

Youngster Grealish proved pivotal to Villa’s survival and FA Cup run last season and will be needed this term as Tim Sherwood’s men aim to cope with the loss of Ron Vlaar, Fabian Delph and Christian Benteke.
