A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.
Chiriches has previously been linked with a move to Roma, but opted to stay at White Hart Lane.
He’s struggled to produce his best form at the club and with plenty of defensive cover signed, he could follow Younes Kaboul out of the exit door.
Former West Brom boss Alan Irvine told BBC Radio 5Live that he doesn’t feel striker Saido Berahino is ready for a move to Tottenham.
The forward has been widely tipped to make a switch to White Hart Lane ahead of the new Premier League season.
However, Irvine feels the player isn’t ready to join a side challenging for the top four in a very competitive division.
“Is he ready to play a huge part at a club like Tottenham who want to be challenging for the top four? Probably not yet,” he said.
The Daily Mirror has claimed that Spurs are looking to play hard ball over Berahino’s price and will make a £10 million offer by the close of play tomorrow.
However, the paper claims that the Baggies are looking for twice that fee, which could string out negotiations between the clubs.
