The midfielder is enthused about the club signing the likes of Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini.
New manager Slaven Bilic has been busy adding to his squad this summer, with several new signings having arrived at Upton Park ahead of the new season.
The most exciting of those signings so far has been the capture of Dimitri Payet, with the Frenchman having starred so far in pre-season with a stellar performance on his debut having impressed everyone.
And Kouyate is one of those who is liking what he sees, while also raving about the rest of their business.
“The new signings have impressed me a lot. I remember watching Dimi [Payet] play for Marseille and the French national team, he is a very, very good player,” he told whufc.com.
“Obi [Ogbonna] came here from Juventus, he’s a nice defender in the way that he plays the game. Manuel [Lanzini] also has very nice technique and quick feet, I am looking forward to them playing for us.”
Reasons to be excited for West Ham fans
If anything, it is fair to say that it may prove to be an exciting season for the Hammers next season given their summer recruits so far.
Bilic was brought in with the remit of playing more attacking football and his signings certainly reflect that desire, with the likes of Payet and Lanzini the types of attacking players the club lacked under Sam Allardyce.
However, there has also been wise signings like Ogbonna, with the squad in desperate need of another defender and him fitting the bill perfectly. Whether the summer recruits prove to be wise ones remains to be seen, but for now West Ham fans should be optimistic.
