The Spain international defender has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid this summer, with Premier League giants Manchester United reportedly interested in him.
According to The Daily Star, United thought that Ramos was willing to move to Old Trafford, but the 29-year-old centre-back has now allegedly decided to remain at Madrid.
Balague has now given his take on the situation and has made the following post on Twitter:
So I see Real Madrid has called Sergio Ramos' bluff, as per Spanish media. What next? New contract? How surprising, ey!— Guillem Balague (@GuillemBalague) July 27, 2015
Ramos is arguably the best centre-back in the world and would have been a great signing for United.
The former Sevilla star, who initially made his name as a right-back, is arguably the most influential player in the current Madrid squad after Cristiano Ronaldo.
Louis van Gaal’s United side were not exactly great defensively last season, and it made sense why they were (reportedly) so keen to recruit Ramos.
