United will face North London outfit Spurs at Old Trafford in their opening game of the new season next month.
It was a joke. Expecting this coming back to haunt me if you win at OT first day! https://t.co/jqnstJHerz— Gary Neville (@GNev2) July 27, 2015
Big season ahead
Neville has made it clear that he was joking, but perhaps some Tottenham fans will feel that the 2015-16 season will end in disappointment once again.
The primary objective for Spurs in the upcoming season will be to end up in the top four of the Premier League.
Anything less than that will be deemed as failure for head coach Mauricio Pochettino and his players.
Hope springs eternal. Tottenham do have a good squad and have made some very good signings who are going to enhance the quality.
The key to finishing in the top four of the Premier League for Tottenham will be to start well.
