Billy Sharp recently left Leeds but who could be next out the door at Elland Road?
Leeds United are currently over-staffed when it comes to their strike force. Quantity doesn't equate to quality, of course, and Uwe Rosler's sale of Billy Sharp already suggests he is looking to trim his squad down.
And a recent report in the Sun suggests Steve Morison could be on his way out at Leeds. The 31-year-old divides opinion to this day but ultimately scored very few Championship goals last season. The big striker therefore appears to be the most realistic choice when it comes to United's next sale. But is there still value in Rosler keeping him in Yorkshire?
Another Leeds man linked with a summer exit, this time by Vicenza Today, Tommaso Bianchi's form majorly dipped last term. The problem for the Whites is that they are currently short in midfield after the departure of Rodolph Austin.
Positionally, then, it may not make sense to let the Italian go - but would he start in midfield, anyway? Bianchi's agent has dismissed talk of a Leeds exit but, should Rosler bring in a new midfielder, the 26-year-old could be considered dispensable.
Suffering from the same problem as Morison as part of a bloated strike force, Nicky Ajose has been tipped to leave Leeds ahead of next season by the Yorkshire Evening Post. The 23-year-old has flattered to deceive during his time at Elland Road so far and this pre-season appears his big chance to prove himself. Is Ajose really good enough, though? Based on last campaign, unfortunately not.
