Yedlin has spent the summer in action for the USA at the Gold Cup, which ultimately ended disappointingly for Jurgen Klinsmann's men. Coincidentally, Lamela also suffered disappointment this summer as Argentina lost in the Copa America final.
Both are now back with Spurs, though, ahead of what could be an important season for both. Yedlin's near future may well lie away from White Hart Lane if boss Mauricio Pochettino decides to send the 22-year-old out on loan. On the other hand, there may just be a spot for him at right-back or even right-wing ahead of the coming campaign.
Lamela, too, potentially faces an uncertain future at Tottenham but the general consensus appears to be that the Argentine winger, signed for £30 million, still has something to offer in north London. Whatever the future holds, they are now back from international duty and concentrating firmly on their club efforts in the present.
