A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Tottenham Hotspur this Monday evening.

There is another story in the Daily Mail linking Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor with a reunion with former boss Tim Sherwood at Aston Villa.

The Mail's report says that Villa are closing in on the forward on a season-long loan with an option to buy, after Adebayor's £100,000 per week wages were viewed as a stumbling block.

The two clubs are hoping some of the details can be completed today so the player can undergo a medical within the next 48 hours, while Spurs are said to be prepared to shoulder a large part of his salary.

The London Evening Standard is reporting that Tottenham are targeting two Premier League players in order to add a bit more firepower to their attack.

West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino is said to be on the wish list of Mauricio Pochettino, as well as Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie

The Standard's report says Berahino commands a fee of around £20 million - with Spurs said to be ready to make an opening offer of £15 million for the forward - while Palace have slapped a £40 million price-tag on Bolasie in order to put off potential buyers. Spurs may use Andros Townsend - who they value at £15 million - as bait to land Bolasie.

The report also says there are a number of players the club are still looking to offload including Roberto Soldado, Vlad Chiriches, Aaron Lennon and Federico Fazio along with Townsend and Adebayor.
