Wrestling fans are well aware of the showmanship and Kayfabe nature of their entertainment so it shouldn't be a stretch to imagine something as outlandish as The Terminator appearing in the latest WWE game. Many however will feel that it is a step too far.
Now we know that it's all scripted but the whole point of the games is to immerse yourself in the WWE Universe and to be honest take it a little more seriously. Usually trying to get yourself up the ranks until you become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. We know it's all fiction but the introduction of a movie character just doesn't feel right, that said we're sure it will be good fun pitting The Terminator against the likes of Brock Lesnar or The Undertaker.
The decision has no doubt been made following Triple H's ring entrance at Wrestlemania, which saw him accompanied by a number of T-800's, that and the fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The announcement was made in a new preview trailer for the upcoming game which features The Terminator along with Daniel Bryan, Eva Marie, Paige, Finn Balor and Dean Ambrose, the latter of which take a disliking to the futuristic antagonist. The trailer is a homage to the classic bar scene from The Terminator.
You can view the trailer below.
There will be two playable versions of the T-800, the original and the Terminator 2: Judgement Day version, and they will be available as a bonus to Pre-Order customers.
WWE 2K16 will be released on 30th October 2015 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
