Jack Sullivan has revealed on Twitter that negotiations are being held, and has assured the Hammers’ fans that players will be recruited before the start of the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.
Transfer update - We are struggling on most of our main transfer targets, but we expect some progress before the start of the season!— Jack Sullivan (@jsullivanwhu) July 27, 2015
In other words we ain't signing a striker for another 2 weeks. https://t.co/YSsBSSFcdh— Mitch (@MitchFY6) July 27, 2015
West Ham have already made a number of signings so far this summer, the most prominent of which are Dimitri Payet from Marseille, Pedro Obiang from Sampdoria and Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus.
While the London outfit do still need to make additions to the current squad in order to push for a top-eight finish in the Premier League, fans should not feel too frustrated with Sullivan’s revelation.
It does take time for clubs to reach agreements and transfer negotiations can drag on for weeks.
What must be admired is Sullivan’s admission that West Ham are struggling to conclude deals.
Such an honesty must be praised.
