HITC Sport understands former Millwall captain Alan Dunne is set to join Leyton Orient.
HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that former Millwall defender Alan Dunne has agreed a deal to join Leyton Orient.
Dunne is a free agent after leaving Millwall earlier this summer following a 23-year spell at the Den.
The 32-year-old joined Millwall at the age of eight and made 390 appearances for the Lions to make him a huge fans' favourite at the club.
A number of clubs are thought to have shown an interest in Dunne, but Orient have moved quickly to lure the Irishman to the Matchroom Stadium on a two-year deal.
Orient head coach Ian Hendon sees Dunne's experience and leadership ability as a key addition to his squad as he looks to build a side capable of winning promotion from League Two next season.
Dunne's versatility makes him an attractive proposition as he can play in a number of positions, including right-back, centre-back and in midfield.
Orient have already brought in Sean Clohessy, Paul McCallum, Sammy Moore and Blair Turgott this summer and Dunne is set to become their fifth new signing.
