Charly Musonda and James Wilson should be loan options explored by Sheffield Wednesday this summer

Sheffield Wednesday should look to utilise the loan market to improve their attack, with Chelsea's Charly Musonda and Manchester United's James Wilson ideal candidates.

Sheffield Wednesday should look to the loan market this summer in order to ensure they have enough quality for a promotion push when the season kicks-off in a little under two weeks time.

Carlos Carvalhal has added Alex Lopez, Jack Hunt, Darryl Lachman, Lewis Price, Marco Matias, Ross Wallace, Lewis McGugan and Vincent Sasso to his squad already this summer, but will need more if they are to finish in the top six.

We take a look at two attackers Carvalhal could look at loaning this summer that have the ability to play a large part in a promotion push in the Championship.

James Wilson - Manchester United

The England under-20 international will be one of the most in-demand potential loan prospects available to Championship clubs for this coming season.

Wilson has been prolific at youth level for United, and has now got three goals to go with his 14 Premier League appearances for the senior side.

Wednesday still need a striker who has the ability to get them out of the division and Wilson could prove to be just that.

Premier League clubs will be interested in the talented youngster, but with Wednesday able to offer guaranteed game time, United could be forced to listen.

Charly Musonda - Chelsea

The versatile attacking midfielder had a fantastic season at youth level in the last campaign and will now want first-team football to prove he can make the step up.

The 18-year-old is a regular for the Belgium under-21 national side and has been touted as one of their top prospects.

He has scored 26 goals in 42 appearances for the Belgium youth side at various levels and has been just as prolific for Chelsea since his move from Anderlecht in 2012.

Wednesday would be able to offer the talented youth prospect a chance to shine in England, as opposed to him going out on loan overseas, and the Championship would be a perfect platform to showcase his ability, similar to teammate Patrick Bamford.
