The Nigerian is The Baggies record signing and a wanted man.
West Bromwich Albion might have a fight on their hands keeping hold of a striker this summer, as it has emerged Turkish side Trabzonspor are keen on adding to their striking department with Nigerian attacker Brown Ideye.
A report in Medya Trabzon claims that the club are still wary of Qatari interest in star striker Oscar Cardozo – despite the Paraguayan telling Turkish media source Bugun this week that he wished to remain at the club.
Regardless, they wish to add to their attacking options with Ideye of West Brom one of three men on a list.
He joins AS Roma flop Seydou Doumbia and Cagliari striker Marco Sau in interesting Trabzonspor this summer.
However a move seems unlikely.
The Nigerian became the club’s record signing last summer when they snapped him up from Dynamo Kiev for £10 million, as confirmed by the club's official website at the time.
But he struggled in his early days at the club. He failed to make a consistent impact at West Brom and was not playing regularly under former boss Alan Irvine.
However, since Tony Pulis took over, Ideye became a more regular feature and repaid the faith, scoring five goals in the 13 games after a reported move to Qatar failed to materialise.
Trabzonspor will therefore have to hope to tie down one of their other targets.
