Report: Henri Lansbury wants to leave Nottingham Forest

Burnley are reportedly interested in signing Henri Lansbury from Championship rivals Nottingham Forest this summer.

Henri Lansbury wants to leave Nottingham Forest this summer, according to The Sun.

The British tabloid claims that the 24-year-old midfielder wants to leave the City Ground amid interest from Championship rivals Burnley.

However, according to the report, Burnley striker Lukas Jutkiewicz will not be part of any swap deal as he is considered part of the Clarets’ plans for the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.

Should Henri Lansbury join Burnley?

Burnley featured in the Premier League last season, and they will be aiming to gain automatic promotion from the Championship during the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.

Forest will also be aiming for promotion, but they would most likely have to settle for a place in the top six of the Championship.

The 24-year-old former Arsenal midfielder will certainly have the ambition of playing in the Premier League, but he is a valued member of the Forest squad and has been part of the team since 2012.

While one can understand the temptation to switch to Burnley, perhaps it would be best for Lansbury if he remains at the City Ground for one more season at least.
