Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing Dutch youngster Donyell Malen, according to The Sun.
The 16-year-old striker is part of Ajax’s Academy at the moment and has not yet played for the Dutch club’s first team.
According to The Sun, Arsenal are keen on snapping up the teenager before Chelsea and will try to pay only a basic compensation fee.
In years gone past, Arsenal have signed such young players and then made them into top players.
While it is difficult to say just how big a signing Malen will be at this stage of his career, one can understand why the Gunners are (reportedly) so keen to secure his services before other top clubs in Europe start snooping around.
