Middlesbrough fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the performance of Stewart Downing on Saturday.
The England international midfielder featured for Boro against Doncaster Rovers in a pre-season friendly game at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The former West Ham United star started the encounter and played until the 84th minute, giving a good account of himself in the process.
Downing started the encounter on the left side of midfield and drifted inside on many occasions, while taking free kicks and corners.
The former Aston Villa star was neat on the ball and played his passes well in the first half, and after the break moved to the number 10 role.
Following the game which ended in a goalless draw, Middlesbrough fans took to social networking site Twitter to give their verdict on the performance of Downing against Doncaster.
