Liam Cooper sends message to Billy Sharp on Twitter

Billy Sharp has left Championship club Leeds United for League One outfit Sheffield United.

Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has taken to social networking site Twitter to wish Billy Sharp the best of luck at Sheffield United.

The 29-year-old striker has left Championship outfit Leeds to move to League One side United.

Sharp has signed a two-year contract with the option of an extra year with the Blades, as reported by BBC Sport.

Cooper hopes that his friend achieves success with United and has posted the following message for him on Twitter:

Leaving a club in the Championship to join a side in League One is a step down, but it could work out for former Southampton man Sharp.

The Englishman was not getting chances at Leeds and has worked with United manager Nigel Adkins before.

The Blades will be aiming for promotion to the Championship in the upcoming 2015-16 campaign, and Sharp will be looking to play an important role in that.
