Leeds fans react on Twitter to Doukara's performance against Hoffenheim

Leeds United lost 2-1 to Hoffenheim on Saturday but what did fans think of Souleymane Doukara's contribution?

Leeds United continued their pre-season preparations with a match against German side Hoffenheim on Saturday, and while Uwe Rosler’s side lost 2-1 there were some positives to take from the encounter.

Summer signing Tom Adeyemi played well and scored Leeds’ goal, while forward Souleymane Doukara also impressed on the wing, suggesting he could have a big role to play next season.

The 23-year-old was a regular starter for Leeds at the beginning of the previous campaign but under Neil Redfearn he slipped down the pecking order and made only five substitute appearances in the league in 2015.

In total Doukara played 27 matches, scoring seven goals and providing three assists and next season could see something of a renaissance for the Senegalese after an impressive pre-season.

Leeds may have done well in the transfer market to date but they could still do with an additional winger; however, the fans may have seen a glimpse of the future with Doukara excelling there on Saturday.

After the match we took to Twitter to see what Leeds fans thought of Doukara’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
