The West Ham coach has been impressed with the new signing.
Indeed, when asked about the 22-year-old, nicknamed 'the Jewel,' by a follower on Twitter, Dicks responded by confirming he has trained and saying he has looked good in practice.
Perhaps Lanzini is yet to fully settle as the member of Slaven Bilic's backroom staff said Dimitri Payet had looked 'very good' - although that might be reading too much into the meaning of one small word.
There are, nevertheless, big hopes for Lanzini as the Argentine looks ahead to his first season in the Premier League and at West Ham.
@JULIAN3DICKS lanzini trained yet mate? If so how did he look? Thanks— Stevie Cutz (@StevieCutz) July 25, 2015
Meanwhile, Dicks also gave his overall verdict on West Ham's draw with Charlton Athletic on social media.
There have been a few groans from fans about the Hammers suffering from their traditional problem of not showing enough in the final third but, during pre-season, Dicks has emphasised the importance of working hard and giving playing time to some of the younger players.
I thought we done ok, we had a few young lads playing aswell, worked hard and created a few chances. https://t.co/BbAgePlhi3— Julian Dicks (@JULIAN3DICKS) July 25, 2015
Next week, West Ham are in friendly action against Norwich City on Tuesday night, before another Europa League qualifier, this time versus Astra Giurgiu on Thursday.
