Leicester City supporters have taken to social networking site Twitter in order to vent their frustrations with the side’s latest disappointing performance in the 1-1 friendly draw at Mansfield Town.
The Foxes have had a turbulent pre-season campaign this summer, the club sacking the popular Nigel Pearson and replacing him with former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri.
The Italian coach boasts a wealth of experience, with the club hoping to benefit from his knowledge of the European market in order to bring in some quality additions.
However, the East Midlands outfit have so far only brought in Christian Fuchs, Robert Huth and Shinji Okazaki, the three players officially joining the club on July 1.
Their slow transfer activity has caused somewhat of a worry among supporters and question marks remain as to whether Ranieri can motivate the squad in the same way as Nigel Pearson.
On Saturday, they travelled to Mansfield with a strong starting line-up and put in a rather subdued performance, David Nugent’s 20-yard opener being cancelled out by a Mansfield penalty.
The hosts arguably should have won as they twice struck the woodwork and enjoyed the far better chances over the 90 minutes, with the visitors lacking in intensity.
With the Premier League opener at home to Sunderland not far away, Leicester need to step it up a gear as their supporters display their disappointment on social media site Twitter.
Ranieri pleased with a draw against the mighty Mansfield. Oh dear, oh deer, oh stag. #lcfc— Startled Jesus (@StartledJesus) July 25, 2015
Poor performance from Leicester today. Proves we need to improve a lot if we want to stay up. Not enough chances created #lcfc— Kieran Blake (@kieranblake97) July 25, 2015
Really getting concerned with the lack of signings, im not one for wanting to buy for the sake of it but the squad is far from ready #LCFC— ⚽Dån⚽ (@Danielkent97) July 25, 2015

Claudio Ranieri is just an accident waiting to happen for Leicester. He's bound to lead them to relegation. Bizarre appointment #LCFC— Adam Bream (@adambream1) July 25, 2015
Not overly impressed with the #lcfc performance today, nice to do two away games in a week though...roll on burton Tuesday night— Sean Coghlan (@Seany1884) July 25, 2015
Well that was awful, the only positives I can possibly take from that are Shinji's calves and falling in love with a policewoman. #lcfc— Samuel Loveday (@sploveday) July 25, 2015
