Report: Nottingham Forest to release Djamel Abdoun and Radoslaw Majewski

Nottingham Forest duo Djamel Abdoun and Radoslaw Majewski are reportedly on their way out of the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest will pay off and release two of their current players this summer, according to The Sun.

The British tabloid claims that 29-year-old Algeria international winger Djamel Abdoun and 28-year-old Poland international midfielder Radoslaw Majewski will be let go to free up places in the squad for the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.

Good decision from Nottingham Forest?

One suspects that this decision has been taken by Forest manager Dougie Freedman.

The Scot has been in charge of the Championship outfit since February, and it seems that he has identified Abdoun and Majewski as players he has no need for next season.

What is interesting is that the Reds are (reportedly) ready to pay the duo and release them rather than try to sell them.

It could mean that either there are no buyers for the aforementioned duo or Forest are desperate to get them off their books in order to bring in players they have already identified.
