The German midfielder scored yesterday as he looks to be a hit next season.
The Welsh side had taken the lead in the second half through their new signing Andre Ayew. However, Forest equalised just eight minutes later, and it was their renaissance man who bagged the goal.
Robert Tesche netted the goal, as he looks to embark on a more fruitful campaign at The City Ground than last term.
Tesche joined Birmingham City on loan in March, after losing his place in the Forest first-team after Dougie Freedman took over from Stuart Pearce in February.
He would signed a year ago on a free transfer from Hamburg and impressed early on last campaign, but Freedman wanted a fresh approach after he took over.
He went on to become a star at St Andrews, scoring twice in 12 appearances for the club.
This form obviously resonated at Nottingham Forest. The club initiated their one-year option on the player this summer and just this week Freedman told the Nottingham Post that Tesche had informed him his ‘heart was with Forest’ and the German has also been a big fixture in the club’s pre-season so far.
His performance was excellent and Forest fans are really excited to see him in action next season.
Here is some of the best reaction on Twitter from Nottingham Forest fans…
