Norwich City fans rave about Harry Toffolo’s superb friendly outing on Twitter

Norwich City beat FC Augsburg 2-1 in a pre-season friendly.

Norwich City supporters have taken to social networking site Twitter in order to lavish praise on youngster Harry Toffolo following his superb display in the 2-1 friendly victory over Augsburg.

The 19-year-old left-back has become a key part of boss Alex Neil’s pre-season campaign following an excellent loan spell at Swindon Town last season.

Toffolo joined the League One side in October and soon became a hit with supporters, going on to make 28 appearances and helping the club qualify for the end-of-season playoffs.

Whether he has the ability to make the step-up to the Premier League remains to be seen, but so far this summer he’s doing his chances no harm at all as he impresses on the training ground.

In their fifth summer friendly, the Canaries took on Bundesliga outfit Augsburg in Germany and named a strong starting XI, including the likes of Wes Hoolahan, Bradley Johnson and young Toffolo.

Despite going 1-0 down early in the second period, two late goals from Youssouf Mulumbu and Lewis Grabban secured a solid victory for the visitors, playing in a rather interesting second strip.

But the man receiving all the plaudits from the Norwich supporters is there academy product Toffolo, the one-cap England U20 international staking his claim for a first-team spot come August.
