Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has taken to Twitter as he prepares to return to training this summer.
The Argentine international has been on an extended break after taking part in the Copa America with his country but it seems he cannot wait to get back to action with his club ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
The 25-year-old signed for United last summer from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon and despite being one of the lesser known players to arrive in that transfer window he was one of the best performers, along with Ander Herrera.
Rojo played 26 matches last season and his versatility and work ethic means he should play plenty more when the new campaign begins.
United’s next match is a pre-season friendly against Barcelona this evening and there are likely to be chances for Rojo to build up his match fitness before Louis van Gaal’s side kick off the new league season with a home match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Writing on Twitter this weekend, Rojo said, “Almost back to training and can’t wait to start.”
