Liverpool’s Jose Enrique makes encouraging remark on Twitter

Liverpool defender Jose Enrique seems to be feeling good about himself.

Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has taken to social networking site Twitter to give an update on his fitness.

The 29-year-old suffered with injuries during the 2013-14 season, and he failed to make a huge impact during the 2014-15 campaign

Enrique could make just four Premier League appearances for the Reds last season, creating two chances in the process.

The former Newcastle United left-back had a pass accuracy of 65%, and won four headers, two dribbles and three tackles.

Enrique has been working on his fitness over the past few weeks, and he seems to be delighted with the progress he has been making.

On Friday, Enrique posted the following message on Twitter in which he also welcomed new signings Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke to Anfield.

Enrique is far from guaranteed a spot in Liverpool’s starting line-up in the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.

That’s mainly due to Alberto Moreno, who enjoyed a largely encouraging debut season for the Merseyside outfit in 2014-15.
