Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his admiration of the support he and his teammates got on their pre-season tour.
The Premier League outfit were on a tour of Asia and Australia over the past few days.
The Reds took on the Thai All Stars at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok on July 14, before facing Brisbane Roar FC at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
Brendan Rodgers’s side won both of those matches, and they then defeated Adelaide United FC 2-0 before being held to a 1-1 draw by a Malaysia XI at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
Clyne seems to have been impressed with the support Liverpool got on their pre-season tour and has the following message for the fans on Twitter:
Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet was also impressed with the fans and has the following message for them:
Clyne joined Liverpool from Southampton earlier this month and will start the season as the Reds’ first-choice right-back.
The 24-year-old former Crystal Palace star is one of the best right-backs in the Premier League, and his arrival is certainly going to enhance the Merseyside outfit’s quality.
Meanwhile, Mignolet will be looking to have a much better season for Liverpool in 2015-16 than he had in 2014-15.
