Confirmed: West Ham line-up v Charlton Athletic - Ogbonna and Valencia start

Here is how West Ham line up for this afternoon's friendly against Charlton Athletic.

West Ham starting XI: Randolph, Ogbonna, Hendrie, Tomkins, Valencia, Payet, Samuelsen, Burke, Cullen, Sakho, Oxford.

West Ham substitutes: Spiegel, Henry, Knoyle, Nasha, Brown, Gordon, Mavila.

West Ham's preparations for the start of the Premier League season continue this afternoon as they face Charlton Athletic in a pre-season friendly.

The Hammers scraped past Maltese side Birkirkara in the Europa League on Thursday, but needed extra time and penalties to seal the win.

Today, Slaven Bilic takes his side to The Valley to take on Charlton Athletic in what should be a good test for West Ham this afternoon.

Bilic has named a strong side, which features new signings Darren Randolph, Angelo Ogbonna, Stephen Hendrie, Dimitri Payet and Martin Samuelsen, as well as forward Enner Valencia, who has had a busy summer having played for Ecuador at Copa America.

Youngsters such as Reece Burke, Josh Cullen and Reece Oxford also start for West Ham, with a youthful bench also named - including January signing Doneil Henry.

After the disappointing display against Birkirkara, West Ham fans will want something to shout about today - even if it's only a pre-season friendly.
