Rangers will be looking to kick off their 2015-16 campaign with victory over Scottish Championship rivals Hibernian this afternoon.

The Gers will face Hibs in the first round of the Scottish Challenge Cup at the Easter Road Stadium in Edinburgh in around an hour’s time.

Scottish giants Rangers have new signings Wes Foderingham, James Tavernier, Rob Kiernan, Danny Wilson, Jason Holt, Andy Halliday and Martyn Waghorn all available for the encounter.

Meanwhile, hosts Hibernian are without five players for this afternoon’s tie.

Danny Handling is injured, while James Keatings, Martin Boyle, Farid El Alagui and Dan Carmichael are not yet ready for action.

Rangers and Hibs faced each other in the first round of the Scottish Challenge Cup last season well. At the time, the Gers won 2-1 after extra time.
