There were two major themes among Aston Villa fans on Twitter on Friday afternoon. Two keywords, rather: 'Karma' and 'Snake.'
Both were in relation to Fabian Delph, who recently left Villa for Manchester City - and injured his hamstring just minutes into his City debut on Friday. Manuel Pellegrini's side were in action against Real Madrid, being comprehensively beaten during their friendly, while Delph's short-lived display saw him leave the field for the physio room rather suddenly.
But, while Manchester City supporters may have been disappointed not to see more of their new midfielder - especially those at the stadium - Aston Villa fans were simply given the perfect material for an absolute field day on Twitter.
#Karma was a hashtag used frequently by the Villa faithful as they continue to feel hard done by after the way 25-year-old Delph treated the club during his exit. The comparison to a slithering animal is something else supporters have done a lot of recently, with the banner left outside the club's gates the biggest example.
Happy Friday for Aston Villa fans, then, as a nightmare Manchester City debut gave Delph a glimpse of a feeling he won't want to get used to - watching his City team-mates from the sidelines. Here's a selection of the Villa Twitter reaction:
