Stuart Pearce suggests Arsenal will be inspired by back-to-back FA Cup wins

Arsenal Fans At Emirates 4

Former England under-21 and Premier League boss Stuart Pearce has suggested Arsenal have an advantage which has been building for the last two years.

Former England under-21 boss Stuart Pearce told talkSPORT what he feels Arsenal will benefit from this summer, which they’ve not had over the last few seasons.

Pearce suggested on the radio station that there will now be players in the Arsenal ranks, who know what it’s like to win silverware with the Gunners, as they look to develop and strengthen that winning mentality.

He also suggested that there is a general feeling surrounding the Gunners over what they could potentially achieve over the coming months.

“I think there’s a general feel that Arsenal are on the up, I think there’s a general feel that their young players are getting that much better,” he told talkSPORT.

“I think the two FA Cup victories will give them confidence and they’ll be thinking ‘we know what it’s like to win in an Arsenal shirt now’.”

Confidence and belief

There will be a real confidence and belief running through the group of players Arsene Wenger has currently brought together, which will create positives ahead of the new season that other clubs simply can’t achieve.

The squad have tasted success under Wenger, which will reaffirm their belief that the methods and tactics that the Frenchman is using are showing the right way forward, as the club looks to build on that success.

Can Arsenal win the title?

There’s no reason why Arsenal should be ruled out of a genuine title challenge.

Wenger could arguably be aggressive in the transfer market to further improve one or two areas, but he does have a good squad with all boxes ticked.

It’s important the club get off to a good start and make the most of the momentum they created over the second half of the last campaign.
