Southampton fans react on Twitter to Juanmi's performance v Feyenoord

The summer signing from Malaga is impressing Southampton fans this pre-season.

Yesterday saw Southampton continue their promising pre-season campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win over Dutch giants Feyenoord.

The Rotterdam club were no match for Southampton, with goals from former Feyenoord player Graziano Pelle, Japanese defender Maya Yoshida and new signing Juanmi doing the damage.

It was yet another good performance from the new signing from Spain, and Southampton fans are now beginning to get excited about the future of the former Malaga forward.

The 22-year-old showed off his composure with an excellent late finish and the player with one Spanish full international cap to his name is already looking like something of a steal from The Saints.

Juanmi, who signed a four-year deal in June after Southampton met his buy-out clause, has already caught the eye for The Saints and many were confused when his name did not appear among the starting XI last night.

However, his performance should give hope to Southampton fans who will be worried about the strength in depth the club have ahead of a season battling on domestic and European fronts.

Here is some of the best reaction on Twitter to Juanmi’s performance and goal…
