Rotherham United have announced the signing of attacker Chris Maguire, on their official club website.
The midfielder had been at Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday for three seasons, and featured in the Owls memorable 3-2 win last season away at Rotherham.
Maguire was a regular for the Owls, playing in 42 Championship games last season, but could not agree terms on a new contract.
Rotherham boss Steve Evans was delighted with the capture, telling the club website: "We love a player who can play in more than one position, and we all know that Chris Maguire can play as a striker or indeed a wide position, he has great qualities in both departments."
Impressively, he is the 11th signing of the summer for the Millers, who have been one of the busier sides in the transfer market this off-season.
The Sheffield Star.reported earlier this month that Sheffield Wednesday had offered him a chance to stay, but Maguire was unhappy with just a one-year contract being on the table.
Maguire scored eight goals last season, and was their joint highest goalscorer in the Championship, level with Atdhe Nuhiu. He also provided two assists, creating 71 goalscoring chances.
He is the third player to make the switch from Rotherham to Wednesday of late, following Lewis Buxton and Joe Mattock.
Here is a look at how Owls fans reacted on Twitter to news of Maguire's move?
