Report: West Bromwich Albion make bid for Vicente Iborra

Walking onto Pitch - Chelsea v West Brom

West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United and Southampton are all reportedly interested in Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra.

West Bromwich Albion have made a £6 million bid for Sevilla star Vicente Iborra, according to The Mirror.

The 27-year-old defensive midfielder has also been linked with West Brom’s Premier League rivals West Ham United and Southampton.

According to a recent report in Spanish publication ABC, both West Ham and the Saints are interested in Iborra.

Should Vicente Iborra leave Sevilla?

Iborra has been on the books of Sevilla since 2013 and has established himself as a key player for the Spanish outfit.

The former Levante star played a key role in Sevilla’s fifth-placed finish in La Liga and in the Europa League triumph last season.

There is no reason for the defensive midfielder to leave the Andalucian club this summer, especially as they will be playing in the Champions League in the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.

While the Premier League is more popular globally than La Liga, Spanish football is arguably more entertaining to watch and perhaps even more competitive.

Moving to West Brom, West Ham or Southampton would be a step down for Iborra at the moment.
