Benjamin Stambouli comments on his career with Tottenham Hotspur

Benjamin Stambouli left Tottenham to sign with PSG.

Stambouli made the shock move to PSG after a poor campaign with Tottenham Hotspur, but he has admitted to Le Parisien that he is not frustrated about his time with Spurs.

He said: “I feel no frustration with my playing time there although I would have preferred to play more. I had very good relations with people.”

Although his wish to play more is not a surprise, it is good to see the Frenchman speak positively of his time with the Lilywhites.

Somehow he earned a move to PSG - French champions and Champions League contenders - despite having made just 25 appearances for the Lilywhites last term.

He was more frequently picked in the Europa League than domestic action, and hardly looked like a player of the quality needed for Spurs - let alone PSG.

However, he never openly criticised his lack of playing time at White Hart Lane, and on the surface, appeared to be well liked by management staff and fans.

There was no ill will held towards him following his move, and with his latest comments, it is likely that Stambouli will always be welcomed back at the club should he ever return to play in North London one day.
