Predicted Manchester United line-up to play Barcelona: Depay, Darmian and Schneiderlin to start; De Gea to return

Here is the Manchester United side we predict will start the pre-season friendly against Barcelona on Saturday.

Manchester United have started their pre-season tour in relatively impressive fashion defeating Club America 1-0 and San Jose Earthquakes 3-1 a few days later.

On top of that, summer signings Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay have both scored and new right-back Matteo Darmian has also impressed.

Only German international Bastian Schweinsteiger has a way to go in terms of fitness and form, with the former Bayern Munich star looking off the pace in the most recent fixture and coming in for criticism from United manager Louis van Gaal.

Next up for United is a clash with Spanish giants Barcelona on Saturday and it will be interesting to see who van Gaal opts to play in what is their biggest match of the summer.

Goalkeeper David de Gea should start having previously been out injured but other than that it would be no surprise to see United play the same outfield players as they did against San Jose.

Angel Di Maria and Marcos Rojo are likely to need time to get up to speed after an extended break following the Copa America, while Schweinsteiger has not yet shown enough on this tour to suggest he will start against the La Liga champions.

Below is the side we expect United to start with this weekend:
