Predicted Liverpool line-up to play Malaysia XI: Milner, Ings and Clyne to start

Here is the side we predict Liverpool will start with for their next pre-season clash:

Liverpool have enjoyed a relatively impressive pre-season campaign to date, with Brendan Rodgers’ side having a 100 per cent record after three games.

Liverpool started out with a 4-0 victory against Thailand All-Stars before beating Brisbane Roar 2-1 and then Adelaide United 2-0.

Next up for the club is a clash with a Malaysia XI on Friday and it will be another chance for Rodgers to see his side in action as he attempts to work out what is the most effective starting XI ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Liverpool have made a number of summer signings and many of those should feature later this week, with our predicted line-up including striker Danny Ings (who got his first goal for the club against Adelaide), Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner.

Joe Gomez has featured recently but we are predicting that Rodgers will go with a centre-back pairing of Mamadou Sakho and Martin Skrtel on this occasion with Alberto Moreno starting on the left.

After this Liverpool take on HJK and Swindon Town before beginning their league campaign against Stoke City on 9 August.
