A round up of news stories this morning related to Manchester United.

Manchester United winger Ashley Young has been quoted by Goal.com, explaining that it’s down to the club as to whether he gets a new contract.

Young was one of United’s standout players from last season, excelling during a difficult first season for Louis van Gaal.

However, he’s not yet been rewarded with a new deal which will sort the next period in his career.

“It's in the club's hands now so I will have to see how it goes. I want to go out and play and at the moment I am on tour so I am trying to enjoy myself,” he said.

The Daily Mirror has reported that midfielder Angel Di Maria doesn’t feel he will pull on the Manchester United shirt ever again.

The £60 million signing from last summer struggled to settle in and produce his best form for the club following a move from Real Madrid.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be the side that will offer him a way out of Old Trafford.

Manchester United attacker Memphis Depay has been quoted by the Daily Express talking about goalscoring ahead of the new season.

Depay got his first Manchester United goal in the friendly against San Jose Earthquakes and is aiming for more goals and assists in the coming months.

The player has also boasted about his versatility, suggesting he can do different roles for the first team.

“I'm a striker or attacking midfielder so it's always nice to score goals and give assists. Today was my first one and, I think, the first of many,” he said.
