The Spaniard will remain in London this season, despite apparent interest from Aston Villa.
It was reported by the Sutton Coldfield Obvserver this morning that Villa were keeping tabs on the 22-year-old, but it would appear that was nothing more than a mere rumour.
Ceballos, a former Barcelona youngster, has instead signed a three-year contract at Charlton ahead of the Championship season.

During his time at Spurs he never truly broke into the first-team but did have a successful period on loan in Portugal with Arouca – prior to his release this summer.
Speaking about the deal Charlton boss Guy Luzon stated:
“Cristian is a very technical player, who has a lot of quality and skill and I hope that he will be able to show that the to Charlton fans this coming season.
“He had a strong football upbringing at Barcelona and after joining Tottenham he kept a strong goalscoring record within their development team.”
Tottenham fans long touted Ceballos as a potential first-team star. The Spaniard often impressed for the under-21 side and many were disappointed to see him leave without getting the chance the likes of Ryan Mason, Andros Townsend and Nabil Bentaleb have been afforded at White Hart Lane.
Now Charlton Athletic have the chance to give him those chances. The Addicks play a style of football that should suit the free-flowing style of the former Spurs protégé and he will be hoping to have a big impact on The Championship next term.
Spurs fans will hope he doesn’t come back to haunt them.
