Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: Onomah signs new deal despite high profile interest

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham youngster Josh Onomah has signed a new contract to stay at White Hart Lane, despite reported interest from some high profile suitors, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

The England under-18 man has committed himself to Tottenham, signing a new deal with just a year left to run on his old contract.

Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea were among the sides thought to have been tracking him according to the paper.

The London Evening Standard has reported that striker Emmanuel Adebayor’s loan n Villa depends on one condition.

The striker is reportedly seen as a replacement for Christian Benteke, but his wages have proved a potential stumbling block.

The paper claims that if Villa agree to foot the cost of his wage packet, the player is theirs.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been quoted by the Daily Star explaining that he watches the 5-3 win against Chelsea back, when there is nothing else on TV.

The win against the Blues at Stamford Bridge was one of Tottenham’s best performances last season.

It was also one of Kane’s best performances in a season where he rose to become the club’s top scorer.

“I watch it [the Chelsea game] back sometimes when I’m at home and there’s nothing on, so I’ll have a look back, not just at that game but all my games,” he said.
