Tottenham's Shaq Coulthirst is feeling positive about the season ahead.
Tottenham youth striker Shaq Coulthirst is feeling hopeful after scoring for the club in a pre-season friendly.
Coulthirst netted in a behind closed doors friendly match against Brentford, the opener from a penalty spot in a 2-1 win.
Also on the scoresheet was former MK Dons midfielder Dell Alli, netting his first in a Spurs shirt.
It is unclear what role Coulthirst will have at Spurs next season, if any, but the under 21 striker is clearly enjoying playing a role with the team at present.
To that end all he can do is continue scoring, and hope to impress head coach Maurice Pochettino enough to be kept around rather than sent out on loan.
A former star of Tottenham's under-19 NextGen side, Coulthirst is yet to build on that potential, but a lack of credible alternatives to Harry Lane up front is presenting an opening for him to follow his team mate's example.
He will get his first seal of approval from Pochettino shortly, if selected to fly to the USA for the pre season match against a MLS All Star XI.
