Tottenham midfielder Mousa Demble has taken to Twitter to discuss this afternoon's 2-1 behind-closed-doors victory of Brentford.
Penalties from Shaq Coulthirst and Dele Alli handed Spurs the win over the Championship club, with fitness the name of the game for Mauricio Pochettino's men.
Belgian international Dembele played his part against the Bees, and will be hoping to nail down a first team place under Pochettino next season.
The 28-year-old has seen fellow midfielders Etienne Capoue, Benjamin Stambouli and Paulinho all leave White Hart Lane this summer, but that hasn't stopped speculation over his future.
Reports from The Mirror earlier this week suggested that, whilst Spurs don't intend to sell Dembele, Premier League rivals Sunderland are interested in signing him.
Whilst rumours continue over Dembele's future, he took to Twitter to say that he is looking forward to the new season at Spurs, which begins in just over two weeks time.
How much will Dembele play in the coming season?
Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason established themselves as Pochettino's first choice pairing last season, and many expect them to continue that partnership in the coming season too.
Yet given the amount of departures, Tottenham could still bring in one more central midfield player - leaving Dembele as potentially the fourth choice midfielder.
The Belgian hasn't really kicked on since his arrival from Fulham in 2012, and will need to take his chances when they come, given that he is unlikely to establish himself as a regular starter in the near future.
