Millwall fans react on Twitter to Steve Morison return rumours

A look at how Millwall fans reacted to reports linking Steve Morison with a transfer from Leeds United.

The prospect of re-signing striker Steve Morison has prompted a split response from Millwall fans on social media.

HITC reported earlier this week that Millwall are attempting to finance a deal to sign Morison from Leeds United, who are believed to be open to selling at the right price.

Morison has played for Millwall previously in two different spells, firstly between 2009 and 2011 during which he helped them win promotion from League One, later rejoining on loan from Leeds two seasons ago.

He has a record of 48 goals in 137 games for the club in all competitions, but struggled badly last season at Leeds to find the net, a woeful two goals in 26 appearances.

Morison has a record of just 28 goals in 122 games in the Championship, but in League One he scored at a better rate, 20 times in 43 matches.

Millwall were relegated into League One last season, and have sustained an early blow ahead of the forthcoming campaign with striker Aidan O'Brien suffering an ankle injury in a friendly, and has been ruled out for at least six weeks, as reported by The BBC.

Bringing back Morison could depend on Leeds' plans too despite their willingness to listen, due to the fact Billy Sharp's future at the club remains uncertain.

Talk of re-signing the Welshman has brought a mixed response from Millwall fans. Here is a look at what they had to say via Twitter...
