Five facts about Nottingham Forest's latest trialist Daniel Pinillos

The Spaniard is a free agent after leaving Cordoba in the summer.

Nottingham Forest took on Doncaster Rovers yesterday in a pre-season friendly, drawing 1-1 with the League One side.

One name on the Forest teamsheet that caught the eye was that of Dani Pinillos.

The Spaniard is currently on trial at the City Ground trying to earn a permanent deal, so what can we tell you about him.

Here are five facts on Forest’s potential new signing…

1) Daniel ‘Dani’ Pinillos is a 22-year-old left-back who began his career in the youth system of UD Logrones before spending three years in the B team at Racing Santander.

2) After a spell in the third division of Spanish football with CD Ourense he moved to Cordoba, originally playing in their B team.

3) He has previous in a promotion hunt, something Forest will hope for next term. He helped Cordoba to promotion to La Liga in 2013-14.

4) Last season he gained notoriety in Spain for a red card he received against Real Sociedad. He received a four-match ban for something he said to an assistant referee and it proved to be his final game for the club. He was released in the summer.

5) Don’t expect goals from the player. He has scored just the one goal, coming against Real Madrid Castilla in May 2014.
