David Beckham Into The Unknown

The former Manchester United midfielder and England captain is such a ruddy good egg, isn't he?

As if you didn't know already that David Beckham was the nicest man in the world, he goes and does this... what a hero!

Becks was appearing on Ryan Seacrest's (nope, no idea either) TV show Knock Knock Live, where celebrities surprise folk on their doorstep with a special prize. The former Manchester United midfielder and England captain decided to help the Gonzalez family by giving them a cheque for $100,000, pay their bills for 10 years and new iPhones. What a guy. Turns out Becks chose the Gonzalez family due to their father giving up on his football career in Mexico to find work in America.

After the show, Golden Balls revealed what it was like to help out: "Giving the cheque for $100k, you can see it means so much to them. You can see it has literally changed their lives.

"I'm very fortunate in my life, and to be able to do this for this family that works so hard... it is an amazing feeling."

He's such bloomin' good egg isn't he? Wonder if Manchester City new boy Raheem Sterling will pop up doing something similar in the near future now that he has landed himself a nice little pay rise at the Etihad... unlikely.
