Stambouli shows skill on PSG debut, ex-Spurs star has to deny controversial tattoo

24 hours after signing from Tottenham Hotspur, Benjamin Stambouli made his PSG debut.

Benjamin Stambouli made his debut for PSG last night, just 24 hours after clinching a transfer from Tottenham Hotspur.

The midfielder was sold just one season after signing from Montpellier, failing to win over head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Despite making just seven Premier League games, Stambouli was regarded as an ideal option for Laurent Blanc to strengthen the PSG midfield.

He featured last night in PSG's friendly game in the USA against Fiorentina, a game the French champions won 4-2. Stambouli came off the bench, and showed nimble footwork dribbling past his opponents, seen in the clip above.

Controversial tattoo denied

Stambouli's transfer to PSG has not been uneventful. He was the target of a social media campaign from Marseille fans, attempting to discredit him.

A photoshopped image was posted online by fans of their rivals, claiming to show the ex-Spurs ace with a tattoo of the Marseille badge.

To resolve the storm created from the mischief making, PSG's savvy social media account posted a clip of Stambouli without his shirt from the club's recent medical, refuting the suggestions.
